Betty L. Stroman

Betty L. (Heuton) Stroman, age 73, of Sioux City, Iowa passed away peacefully on December 10, 2023, after a valiant battle with cancer.  She was surrounded by her loving family.

Betty was born to Melvin & Virginia Heuton on February 18, 1950, in Sioux City, IA.  She graduated from Central High School, in Sioux City, in 1968.  On July 25, 1970, Betty married Bruce Stroman and they spent 53 wonderful years together.  Their union was blessed with four children:  Chad, Jeromy, Salina, and Ginger.

In her younger years, Betty worked at Zenith and then took time off to raise her family.  She later rejoined the workforce, working at Holy Spirit Nursing Home for 27 years until she retired.  Throughout her life, she loved her pets, playing BINGO, and spending time with friends and family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Sue Flick; her brother, Mike Heuton; sister-in-law Jean Heuton; and brother-in-law James (Ron) Homesly.  She is survived by her husband, Bruce; her brother Tennis (Patti); her sister Mary; her four children, Chad (Shanee) Stroman of Sioux City, Jeromy Stroman (Amy Peters) of Sioux City, Salina (Dennis) Shaw of Omaha, and Ginger (Dana) Allner of Moville, Iowa; and her 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Visitation for Betty will be held on Friday, December 29, 2023, at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel in Sioux City from 5 to 7 p.m. with a Celebration of Life/Sharing of Memories Service at 6 p.m.
