   Betty J. Miller, 83, of Lawton, IA passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2023.

   A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Monday, September 18, 2023, at Holly Springs Bible Fellowship Church rural Hornick, IA with Pastor Jim Thomas officiating. A celebration of life with meal will follow the service from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel in Sioux City.

   Betty, the daughter of Henry and Bernice (Paulsen) Eberly, was born February 2, 1940, in Sioux City, IA. She grew up on a farm near Lawton and graduated from Lawton High School. Betty married Kenneth V. Miller on October 5, 1958, in Lawton and this union was blessed with two children.

   Betty was a hard-working homemaker who loved to cook and bake. She will be remembered for all the wonderful pies she made over the years. In addition, she loved to craft, sew, paint, and go to rummage sales. Above all, she cherished spending time with her family. Betty and Ken faithfully attended Holly Springs Bible Fellowship Church.

   Betty is survived by her children: Blake (Rhonda) Miller of Lawton and Cami (Randy) Hammond of Hornick; grandchildren: Roni (Dave) Ericson, Dakota Miller and his fiancé Samantha, and Hunter and Cooper Hammond; great grandchildren: Riggs, Miles, Henry, and Carter; and two sisters: Janet Holm of Sioux Falls, SD and Margaret (Jerry) Skoglund of Sioux City.

   She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 64 years, Kenneth; grandsons: Tanner and Tucker; and brother-in-law, Chuck Holm.
