Betty Jean (Gugat) Mace

  Betty Jean (Gugat) Mace, 75, of Sioux City, has gone to be our angel on March 29, 2023. Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel.   Betty was born on April 9, 1947, one of 11 children. Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She loved to be with family, playing cards, and laughing having fun. She loved to watch her Yankees and Nebraska Football, and go to the Hard Rock in her leisure time.

  Betty loved watching her grandchildren play and grow. She always had a great time with them. She was a beautiful soul who loved everybody, and would help anyone who needed it.

  Betty is survived by three sisters and two brothers; six children: Jeff Gugat (Denny) of Emerson, NE, Jerry Gugat (Dana) of Sioux City, Jim Butts of Fremont, NE, Jennifer Foster (Dave) of Sioux City, Jackie Butts (John) of Sioux City, and Kimberly Mace of Sioux City; four step-children: Jeannie Mace, Deb Mace, Tom Mace, and Danny Mace, all of Sioux City; 28 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and 22 great-great grandchildren.

  Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Chet Mace; four brothers and one sister.

  Betty will be missed dearly by her family and friends, loving soul she was. She is now our beautiful angel.
