Betty J. Eaton

Betty J. Eaton, 92, of Sioux City passed away Sunday, February 4, 2024, at a local care center.

Per her wishes, cremation has taken place, and no services are planned.

Betty was born January 25, 1932, in Vermillion, SD, the daughter of Benjamin and Dora Mae (Hufsmith) Garvey.  She graduated from Vermillion High School.  

Betty married Robert W. Eaton in January of 1954 in Sioux City.  He preceded her in death on December 7, 2013.  Betty worked in the lunchroom at John Morrell, and as a waitress at Swanson Café.  

Betty enjoyed dancing and camping in her younger years, working on puzzle books, and spending time with her animals and grandchildren.

Betty is survived by her daughter Brenda (Alan) Rowley of Sioux City; and granddaughter:  Briealee Eaton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert, sons Steven and Mike Eaton, sister Shirley Davis, and brothers Earl and Benjamin Garvey Jr.
