Beth White, 92, of Ponca, NE passed away on Monday, May 27, 2013 at a care center in Omaha.Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, May 31, 2013 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Ponca, NE with Rev. David Liewer officiating. Burial will be in Calvary at South Creek Cemetery in rural Ponca. Visitation with the family present will begin at 5:00 P.M., with a scriptural wake service at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at the Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City, NE. Online condolences to the family may be posted at www.mohrfuneralhome.com.Beth was born February 28, 1921 in Nacora, NE, the daughter of William and Magdeline (Sherlock) Heeney. She married Ralph White on July 19, 1941 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in rural Ponca. They farmed near Martinsburg until Ralph's death in June, 1995. She moved to Ponca a year later.Beth was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and Catholic Ladies Society. She also belonged to several organizations in Ponca and Martinsburg.Survivors include four children, Beverly Utecht and her husband, Bill; and Bonnie Skartvedt and her husband, Ron, all of Omaha, NE; and Jerry and Don White of South Sioux City, NE; nine grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.Beth was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph White; sisters, Margie Sherlock and Helen Bottger; twin brother, Billy Heeney; and brothers, Gene and Bob Heeney.
