Bertha G. Stephenson

  Bertha G. Stephenson, 99, of Sioux City passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at a local care facility. Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 4, 2024 at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel.

  Bertha was born on February 9, 1925 to Andrew and Jennie (Reinders) Vogel. She married Maynard “Pat” Stephenson on August 5, 1949.

  Bertha is survived by her children: Janice “Jan” Lebowich of Sioux City; Brian (Margaret) Stephenson of Sioux City; Renee (Rick) Winegardner of Ankeny, IA; and Tim (Robin) Stephenson of Colorado; eight grandchildren: Rebecca, Josh, Bridget, Molly, Andrew, Keri, Ryan and Haley; and 15 great-grandchildren.

  She was preceded in death by her husband, Maynard; brothers: John and Marvin Vogel; sisters-in-law: Joyce, Doris, Lois, and Joy; and son-in-law, Gordon Lebowich.
