Bernard “Bernie” Tutt, age 64, of Le Mars, Iowa, passed away peacefully at home on June 18, 2025, surrounded by his family.
Bernie was born on January 12, 1961, to Merill and Marilyn Tutt, who preceded him in death. He was a man of quiet strength, deep love, and a sharp sense of humor. Bernie was known for his honesty, loyalty, and the way he made people feel truly seen and heard. One of his greatest joys was riding his Harley motorcycle, feeling the open road and freedom.
He is survived by his loving wife, Dawn M. Tutt (Burcham); his daughter Anastasia Tutt and her partner Daniel Crespo and their sons Bruce Tutt and Aiden Bush; his son Michael Tutt; his son Brandon Tutt and his wife Tara, and their children Ande, Quiten, and Devyn; and his son Nicholas Tutt. He is also survived by his two sisters, Melinda Rosewall (Ron)and Rashel Bark(Rod).
Bernie’s greatest pride and joy was his family. He valued the time spent together — in conversation, laughter, and love. His memory lives on through each of them.
Bernie will be laid to rest at the Iowa Veteran’s Cemetery in Adel, Iowa on Monday, July 7 at 12:30 pm. Friends and family are welcome to attend. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 12 at the Eagles Club (104 1st St. SW) in Le Mars, Iowa, from 11 am- 2 pm. Friends and loved ones are invited to share memories, stories, and moments honoring Bernie’s life. Casual dress is welcome. Bernie will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew him.
