Becky was born on February 17, 1955, the oldest of six children to Eugene and Helen (Foltz) Menard in Sergeant Bluff, Iowa. She attended schools in Seattle as well as Sioux City. She was married to her high school sweetheart, Wes Jolin, on October 19, 1973 in Sioux City. To this marriage, the couple was blessed with two sons, Daniel and Keith Jolin. Becky began her in-home Daycare in 1974 and continued until her retirement in 2021. Next to her family, the daycare kids were her greatest passion and joy and she was always amused at their antics. She loved her family greatly and enjoyed going to the boy’s activities and sporting events and later traveling to her granddaughters dance competitions. She truly loved watching them perform their various routines and looked forward to dance season every year.
In 2010, Becky and Wes joined the Sioux Falls Corvette Club and made many friends. They could often be seen cruising in the ‘vette in the summer going on an adventure of some kind. Camping and boating with the family were always a great time and pleasures of Becky’s. Whenever Becky would hear Rock & Roll music you could always catch her singing and dancing along. Becky was a very devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker with a very huge heart. She was always willing to help anyone whether it be with a helping hand or emotional support.
Becky is survived by her husband of 49 years, Wes Jolin; Children: Daniel (April) Jolin of Dakota Dunes, SD, and Keith (Lori) Jolin of Yankton, SD; two granddaughters: Bailey and Brooklynn Jolin of Dakota Dunes, SD; siblings: Shirley Strehl of Osmond, NE, Brenda Menard and Mike (Donna) Menard of Webb, IA; and many nieces and nephews; and brother-in-law Dwain (Kathy) Jolin of Sapulpa, OK.
Becky was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers Timothy and Eugene.
