Barbara “Barb” L. (Reed) Millard-Stolze, 82, of South Sioux City, NE, passed away at Unity Point Heath St. Lukes in Sioux City, IA due to medical conditions on June 2, 2025. Graveside Services were held at Taylor Cemetery, Rural Homer, Nebraska with Reverend Patti Meyer offering prayers. Mohr & Becker-Hunt Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.

Barb was born in Sioux City, Iowa, on April 18, 1943, to Harry and Ruth (Powell) Reed. She attended South Sioux City area public schools. She received her GED while living in Salt Lake City, UT.

On July 30, 1959, Barb and Harvey were united in marriage in Hubbard, Nebraska. They raised three children: Brad, Brent, and Bridget. She enjoyed following their high school and career accomplishments. She worked in retail for several years in Sioux City area. After Harvey’s passing in November 1997, she married Gerald Stolze on June 10, 2000. They were married until Jerry’s passing on February 24, 2023.

She encouraged both Harvey and Jerry to join in her antiquing endeavors. The basement is proof of their robust antiquing career. She was very talented at restoring antique dolls. She also enjoyed sewing and various other arts and craft projects around the home. She especially enjoyed researching and acquiring genealogy information of the Millard, Reed, and Stolze family histories. She shared this information and created binders for the families to read and follow up on.

Survivors include two sons and one daughter along with their spouses. Brad and Linda Millard of Yankton, S.D., Brent and Sue Millard of Rockford, MN, Bridget and Mica Trout of Fayetteville, N.C. Her four siblings include Carole Rollands of Phoenix, AZ, Steve Reed of Lynch, NE, Gloria Bobier of Taylors, SC, and Joyce Hogue of Dakota City, NE. Six grandchildren (Shay, Andrew, Zachary, Kenty, Brandy and Brie) and 11 great grandchildren (Kayva, Levi, Alijah, Arick, Alexis, Lucia, Lyla, Ledger, Theo, Della, and Brooks)

Preceded in death by parents Harry and Ruth Reed, husband Harvey Millard, second husband Gerald Stolze, brother Floyd Reed and wife Mary, grandchildren Korey and Kassidy Merkley.
