Audrey Mae Chase

Audrey Mae Chase, 70 of Sioux City, Iowa passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at a local nursing facility.   Abiding by her wishes, cremation has taken place, and a Memorial Service will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Mohr & Becker-Hunt Funeral Home in South Sioux City, Nebraska with Janell Norton officiating.  Visitation, with the family present, will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.  Honorary Pallbearers for the service will be Audrey’s nieces and nephews.  Interment will be at a later date in the Walthill Cemetery.   Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.meyerbroschapels.com

Audrey was born on June 16, 1953 in Sioux City, Iowa to Robert and Carole (Crooks) Lile.  She graduated from Walthill Public Schools with the Class of 1971.  Audrey married Harrison “Harold” Chase on December 21, 1980 in North Carolina.   Throughout her adult life, she lived in South Carolina, Omaha, and Sioux City, Iowa.  Her working career included being a computer analyst for Gateway and retiring from Mercy Urgent Care in South Sioux City.  Audrey enjoyed her membership to the Walthill Methodist Church.

Audrey is survived by her sister Roberta (Robert) Barclay of Homer, Nebraska; sister Carla (Robert) Warner of Walthill, Nebraska; sister-in-law Rochelle Lile; nephews Beau James (Bri) Barclay of Dakota City, Nebraska, Josh (Danielle) Lile of Sioux City, Bryan (Courtney) Lile of Washington, Travis (Jeanee) Lile of Sioux City, Iowa; Blake (Amy) Lyon of Rock Valley, Iowa, Brett Lyon of Sioux City, Iowa, Daniel (Richelle) Lyon of Missouri; nieces Rebecca (Shawn) Klug of Homer, Nebraska, Brenda (Gram) Reeder of Minneapolis, and Ashley (Brian) Bunce of Omaha, Nebraska; and great-great niece Ellianna Jo.  

Audrey was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harold on April 7, 2023, sister Lisa Hankins, brother Allen Lile, great-great-nephew Grayson Lindholm, niece Bobbie Jo Lindholm, and nephew Corey Lyon.
