Anthony M. “Tony” AKA “Krook” Robinson, 66, of Sioux City passed away on Friday, July 12, 2024 at a Sioux Falls hospital. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 26, 2024 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Reverend James Mosley, officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service.  Tony was born on April 28, 1958 in Sioux City, to Robert and Margaret (Galloway) Robinson. He grew up in Sioux City and attended Sioux City Schools, including West High School where he was a notable football player. Following high school, he joined the United States Army. In 1980, his military career took he and his family to Ft. Bragg in North Carolina, where they lived from 1980-1984, then returning to Sioux City. Tony remained a Sioux City resident for the duration of his life.

He was a big sports fan, especially football, with his favorite team being the Minnesota Vikings, and was also a Golden Glove boxer (some would say the best to come out of Sioux City!). He also enjoyed grilling out for his family and spending time with his kids and grandkids.

He is survived by his children: LaToya Robinson, Jamie Reese (Grant), Antonio Moore, Anndrea Stark, Cortney Pertilla (Eddie), Cheria Stark, Margaret Van Noort (Jake), Traelius Robinson, Sr. (Abbigale), Jocelyn Grant, Tanner Robinson, Jayleen Grant, and Tayla Robinson; grandchildren: Bayleigh, Payten, Carley, Xyla, Tatianah, Ozias, Anavrin, Christina, Javion, KyRiih, Veda, Traelius Jr., Alahni, Skyla, Azayla, Adelaya, Aveya, Autumn, and Veronica. He is also survived by his siblings: Tena Butler (Fred), Ronnie Robinson (Vanessa), Gloria Vaughns, and Corey Robinson; several nieces and nephews; and his “second mom,” Jeanne (Swanson) Dooley.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Kenny Robinson and Johnny Robinson; and a grandson, Jaxon.
