Alyssa Faye Cecenas, 36 of Sioux City, Iowa passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2024.  A Memorial Service will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 5, 2024 at St. Paul’s Indian Mission with burial to follow at Logan Park Cemetery.   Visitation, with family present, will be at 6:00 p.m. Thursday at St. Paul’s Indian Mission.  Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel has assisted the family with cremation services.  Honorary Bearers for the service will be Isaiah Magnuson, Daniel Durio, Tyler Dunn, Robert Kull, Jose Magnuson, David Vega, Enrique Vega, Jr., and Ancelma Estevez.

Alyssa was born on March 5, 1988 in Sioux City, Iowa to Susan (Magnuson) Vega and Eduardo Cabrales Cervantes.  She began working at Tyson in 2006, and recently has been working with the crew at Royal Canine in North Sioux City, South Dakota.  She married Francisco Cecenas Flores in Elk Point, South Dakota in 2012.  

Alyssa is survived by her husband Francisco and children Jovanni Cecenas, Lilliana Cecenas, Amiah Cecenas, and Francisco Cecenas, Jr., all of Mexico, sons Daniel Durio and Isaiah Magnuson of Sioux City, Iowa; mother Susan Vega of Sioux City; father Eduardo (Beatriz)Cabrales Cervantes of Newman Grove, Nebraska; sisters Kristin Godina, Karina Liset Gonzales and Margarita Vega; brothers Eduardo Cabrales Jr, Eduardo C. Cabrales, Uriel Cabrales, Enrique Vega, Jr, Jose (Jennifer) Magnuson, and David Vega;; best friend Melissa Soto of Sioux City, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.

Alyssa is preceded in death by her grandma Marjorie Magnuson and sister Andrea Cabrales.
