Aloth Phommavong

Aloth Phommavong, 56, of South Sioux City, NE, passed away unexpectedly on July 5, 2023.  A funeral will be held Saturday, July 15, 2023 from 2-5:00 p.m. at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel.  Online condolences may be made to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Aloth was born on December 30, 1966 in Laos to Soutchay and Hieng Phommavong.  The family moved to the United States in 1979, fist settling in Iowa.  They later moved to California then to Nebraska.  Aloth was a hard worker and had several jobs in the Siouxland area, including, IBP, Tyson and Northwest Iowa Pork.  He enjoyed fishing and was a car enthusiast.

Those left to honor his memory include his children: Alex (Sonya) Viengsay, Clovis, CA and Breanna Sinawski, Fresno, CA; mother, Hieng Phommavong; siblings: Bon Phommavong, Fresno, CA, Aleck Phommovong, Rockford, IL, and Adeth Phommavong, Fresno, CA.

He is preceded in death by his father.
