Koetters on May 5, 1950, in Sioux City. Alice was a longtime member of Faith Lutheran Church in Sioux City and later Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Kearney.
Alice was a sweet, gentle soul and family meant everything to her. Sioux City was home however, and they moved back to Sioux City before spending their final years in Kearney, NE, living in the home of her daughter, Jaime and son in law Denny, who provided a wonderful home for them. She also enjoyed her sewing club, spending time with friends playing cards, holidays and special occasions with family. Alice raised eight children of her own and added several foster babies over the years until they found permanent homes. She and Bill started the Share America program in Sioux City that provided discounted groceries to area families in need.
Alice always considered Sioux City home and the family will be taking her home to her final resting place.
Alice is survived by her children, Steven and Kathy Koetters of Sioux City, IA, Daniel Koetters of Johnston, IA, Jason and Carin Koetters of Kearney, NE, and Jaime and Dennis Flynn of Kearney, NE; son in law, Dennis Tieck of Sioux City, IA; 15 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; many other extended family members and friends.
