Alejandro “Alex” Arreola Pena, 66 of Sioux City, Iowa passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2025 peacefully at his home. Visitation, with the family present, will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 10, 2025 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel in Sioux City, with a Prayer Service beginning at 4:00 p.m. Deacon Luis Guzman of the St. Michael's Catholic Church in South Sioux City, Nebraska will be Prayer Leader.  Interment will be at a future date in Tenamaxtlan, Jalisco, Mexico.

Alex was born on May 29, 1959 in Tenamaxtlan, Jalisco to Andres Arreola Regla and Ma. Magdelena Pena Jimenez. He attended school in Tenamaxtlan. At the age of 17, Alex moved to California before making his way to Sioux City, where he called home for the majority of his life. Alex worked for Tyson, Foods for 35 years, where he had many jobs and made many friends.

Alex is survived by his siblings Andres Arreola, Natalia Arreola, Carmen Arreola, J. Manuel Arreola, Enrique Arreola, and Antonio Arreola along with their respective families; many cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family; and close friends that were with him until his las days.

Alex was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Jose Arreola and Rosario Regla, maternal grandparents Manuel Pena and Maria Jimenez, father Andres Arreola Regla, mother Ma. Magdalena Pena Jimenez, and two infant brothers Andres and Antonio Arreola.

Alejandro “Alex” Arreola Peña, 66 años, residente de Sioux City, Iowa falleció el domingo, el 3 de Agosto, 2025 con paz en su casa. El velorio sera con la familia presente, va a empezar domingo, el 10 de Agosto en la funeraria de Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel in Sioux City, con un servicio de oración empezando a las cuatro de la tarde. El Entierro sera en una fecha futuro en Tenamaxtlan, Jalisco, Mexico.

Alex nació en el 29 de mayo en Tenamaxtlan, Jalisco, hijo de Andrés Arreola Regla y Maria Magdelena Peña Jiménez. El asistio a la escuela en Tenamaxtlan. Cuando traia 17, Alex se mudó a California antes llegando a Sioux City, donde nombro su casa por la mayor parte de su vida. Alex trabajaba en Tyson Foods durante 35 años, donde ocupó diversos puestos y cultivó amistades queridos.

A Alex le sobreviven sus hermanos: Andrés Arreola, Natalia Arreola, Carmen Arreola, J. Manuel Arreola, Enrique Arreola y Antonio Arreola junto con sus familias respetivas; muchos primos, sobrinos, sobrinas, familia extendida y amistades cercanas que acompañaron hasta sus últimos días.

A Alex le precedieron en la muerte de sus abuelos paternos José Arreola y Rosario Regla; sus abuelos maternos, Manuel Peña y María Jiménez; su padre, Andrés Arreola Regla; su madre, María Magdalena Peña Jiménez; y sus dos hermanos infantiles, Andrés y Antonio Arreola.
