Rodney Dale Anderson

Rodney Dale Anderson, 36, of Sioux City left for heaven Wednesday, May 20, 2009, to meet his mother who left on the journey five weeks before him. His passing was a result of injuries received in an automobile accident.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel, 6200 Morningside Ave., with the Rev. Patricia Roberts, deacon at Calvary Episcopal Church, officiating. Rodney was the son of Gary D. Anderson and the late Linda (Nielsen) Anderson. He was born Jan. 29, 1973, and attended Sioux City schools. He was a laborer in construction work. He enjoyed spending time with his family and many friends.

He is survived by a son, Taylor Holmes of Sioux City; his father, Gary Anderson; grandfather, Martin "Jack" Nielsen of South Sioux City; grandmother, Dolores Kamradt of Sioux City; four sisters, Robin Broveak of Sioux City, Starla Anderson of Sioux Falls, Shari Reinfeld of Florida, and Jennifer Anderson of Sioux City; two special cousins, Lynn Hewitt and Jerry Johnson; several other cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and special friends, Heidi and Michelle.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Anderson; an infant brother, Gary Dean Anderson Jr.; and his paternal grandparents, Alfred and Marion Anderson.
