Joseph Shawn Bell, 49, of Sioux City passed away unexpectedly Thursday, Sept. 28, 2006, at a Sioux City hospital.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with the Rev. Daniel Guenther officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Joseph was born July 13, 1957, in Sioux City, to Billy and Mary (Lieurance) Bell. He graduated from East High School and attended Western Iowa Technical College.
He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Joseph enjoyed playing cribbage, drinking pop, smoking cigarettes, playing slots and gambling.
Survivors include his parents, Billy and Mary Bell of Sioux City; a brother, Tim Bell; and two sisters, Theresa Hermus and Debra Reifenrath.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
