Mary A. Boisen

Mary A. Boisen, 72, of Sioux City died Friday, June 20, 2008, at Indian Hills Nursing and Rehab Center, following a brief illness.

Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Merrill Muller officiating. Private graveside services will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mary was born Sept. 21, 1935, in Sioux City, to Henry and Ann (Appledorn) Hildebrand.

She married Lowell J. Boisen on April 12, 1954, in Sioux City. Besides being a homemaker and mother of six, Mary also worked for 20 years at Pheasant Acres as a care taker.

Survivors include her husband, Lowell Boisen of Sioux City; six children, David, Danny (Debbie), Doug, Darwin, Don and Diane Boisen, all of Sioux City; a brother, Henry (Joan) Hildebrand of Sioux City; and two sisters, Joan Hogan and Deb Nelson, both of Sioux City.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
