Elizabeth C.L. Collier

October 30, 1924 — June 13, 2006

Elizabeth C.L. Collier, 81, of Sergeant Bluff, formerly of Sioux City, died Tuesday, June 13, 2006, at Floyd House in Sergeant Bluff following a brief illness.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.

Elizabeth was born Oct. 30, 1924, in Alvord, Iowa, the daughter of Henry and Cecelia (Bahrenfuss) Kroger. She graduated from Central High School in 1942. She was a lifetime resident of Sioux City.

She married Walter Bradley on July 20, 1944, in Sioux City. She later married Glen Collier on March 17, 1967, in Sioux City. He passed away in 1971 in Sioux City. She was employed with Western Union Messenger and was a factory worker at Johnson Biscuit, Robb Ross and IBP.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She enjoyed playing bingo, cards and putting together jigsaw puzzles. She also enjoyed bird watching and loved animals.

Survivors include three sons and their wives, Mike and Mary Jo Bradley of Omaha, Dennis and Terri Bradley of Sioux City and Randy Bradley and La Vone Sopher of Sioux City; a daughter and her husband, Lisa and Ed Romano of Iowa City, Iowa; four grandchildren, Christine Clifford, Scott Bradley, Abigail Romano and Aaron Romano; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Wayne Kroger of Sioux City and Robert "Bob" Kroger of Mesa, Ariz.; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two husbands.

Pallbearers will be Bernard Attema, Scott Bradley, Andy Kavan, Bradley Clifford, Ed Romano and Chuck Myers.
