Marie E. Craft

SIOUX CITY -- Marie E. Craft, 82, of Sioux City passed away Thursday, Nov. 6, 2008, after a brief illness.

Abiding by the family's wishes, cremation has taken place, and no funeral or memorial service will be held. Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel has assisted the family with arrangements.

Marie was born Jan. 21, 1926, and was the adopted daughter of John and Mary (Eickholt) Kuhn. She attended Climbing Hill High School and graduated in 1944. She had one brother, Henry.

Survivors include two daughters, Jeanette Mayberry of South Sioux City, and Melody Stallmann of Sioux City.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two children, Valerie Brooks and Mary Louise Pierce; and a brother.

The family would like to thank the emergency room staff at Mercy Medical Center for their compassion and excellent care.

Marie was much loved and respected by family and friends and will be greatly mourned and missed.
