Lesley Van Dewey

Lesley V. Dewey, 45, of Sioux City died Friday, Dec. 29, 2006, at a Sioux City hospital.

Memorial services will be 7 p.m. Wednesday at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel, with the Rev. Dick Morgan officiating. Condolences may be sent online to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Lesley was born Feb. 7, 1961, in Akron, Iowa, the son of Duane and Dorothy (Raby) Dewey. He was employed as head of the kitchen at the Sioux City Gospel Mission.

He loved to cook, watching movies and cars of all kinds. He was a member of the Sioux City Gospel Mission.

Survivors include two sons, Lenny Tucker and Leslie Tucker and his wife, Katie, all of Sioux City; a daughter, Johnell Collins; two brothers, Jerry Dewey of Westfield, Iowa, and Denny Dewey of Georgia; and 11 grandchildren, Dayson, Tyler, Dalton, Ian, Tiana, Kayla, Sabrina, Taylor, Haley, Mckenzie and Landon.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Rita Faust.
