Helen Ethel Ellison, 98, of Spokane, Wash., formerly of Sioux City, died Friday, Sept. 22, 2006, at her residence in Spokane.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Logan Park Cemetery with the Rev. Terry Embke officiating. Visitation will be 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Anderson-Perasso Funeral Chapel.
Mrs. Ellison was born Oct. 2, 1907 in Castana, Iowa, the daughter of Bert and Leah Pearl (West) Harvey. She was a high school graduate.
She married John Ellison in 1934 in Sioux City. They made their home in Leeds on a farm from 1934-1941. Then they moved and lived in Sioux City from 1941-76. In 1976 they moved to Kirkland, Wash., where John passed away in 1980. Helen continued to live in Kirkland until 2002 when she moved to Spokane to be with her daughter.
Helen was a bookkeeper for three different lumber companies in Sioux City. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and sewing.
Survivors include a daughter Annette (Harold) Chapman of Spokane; a grandson Greg (Shaelean) Chapman and their two children Chanelle and Alysha Chapman.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
