Margaret E. Everist

SIOUX CITY -- Margaret E. Everist, 84, of Sioux City passed away Saturday, Jan. 24, 2009.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, January 31, 2009 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Roger Madden officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home.

Margaret was born Nov. 9, 1924, in Sioux City, the daughter of Laura and William Ennenga. She graduated from Mount Holyoke College. She was a life long resident of Sioux City.

She was active in many volunteer organizations throughout her life, including Junior League and the P.E.O. She enjoyed serving the local community by supporting organizations which help others in need.

She is survived by a daughter, Margaret Everist of Minneapolis; sons and their wives, Garland and Chris Everist and Michael and Mary Alice Everist of Denver; five grandchildren, Lucius, Mathew, Tyler and Heather and Mary; and a great-grandchild.

The family members requested that all memorial donations on her behalf be directed to the American Heart Association.
