Patricia E Feldick

Patricia Brown Feldick, 67, of Sioux City died Friday, June 9, 2006, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minn., from an inoperable brain tumor after a short illness.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Central Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dr. Timothy Blanchard officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 8 p.m., at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Patricia was born June 6, 1939, in Sioux City, the daughter of Vince and Marjorie Murray. She graduated from Central High School in 1957, received an elementary education teaching certificate from the University of South Dakota in 1961 and graduated from Morningside College in 1976.

She married Warren Brown in 1959. He was killed in Vietnam in 1968. She married Harris Feldick in 1991. Pat spent most of her life in Sioux City. She began her career as a teacher at Bryant School in Sioux City. She later worked as vice president of marketing for First National Bank in Sioux City. In 1991, she retired from marketing to focus full-time on a career as a loving wife and devoted grandmother.

Pat contributed to her community by serving in numerous organizations to include the local chapter of the American Cancer Society, Greater Downtown, Iowa Bankers Association, Advertising Federation of Sioux City, Orpheum Theater Restoration Committee, Quota Club, Tri-State Women's Conference, Women of Excellence and Women in Careers.

She was an active member of Whitfield Methodist Church and later, Central Baptist Church. Pat devoted much of her time and energy helping others. She was active for many years in supporting the 185th Tactical Fighter Squadron of which her late husband was a member. She was involved in numerous committees and projects at Central Baptist Church and was an avid supporter of the Gideons Organization, Gospel Mission, Salvation Army and worldwide missionary work.

Survivors include her husband, Harris Feldick; a son, Troy Brown and his fiancee, April, and grandchildren, Warren and Heather Brown of Knoxville, Tenn.; a son, Todd Brown and wife, Lisa Brown and grandchildren, Zachary, Coty, Nolan and Vanessa Brown of Dakota Dunes; a brother, Mike Murray and wife, Jean of Des Moines; a sister, Peg Cook and husband, Don of San Antonio, Texas, a sister, Jean Nevius and husband, John of Corning, Iowa and their children, John, Jean and Jeff and families. She is also survived by the children of her husband, who are Craig Feldick, Steve Feldick, Kathy May, Jeffrey Feldick and Nate Feldick and grandchildren, Abra May, Bryce May and Stephanie Feldick. She is also survived by many Conard cousins, Murray cousins, the Brown family and her friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Vince and Marjorie Murray; her first husband, Warren Brown; a grandson, Weston Vincent Brown; and her mother-in-law, Helen Brown.

Pallbearers will be Hal Poppen, Mike Skaff, Dave Adam, Daryl Brown, Michael Murray, Don Murray, Jeff Nevius, Jeff Feldick and Gil Scott.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gideons Organization or the Gospel Mission.
