SIOUX CITY -- Alvin Goodman, 87, of Sioux City passed away Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2008, at Casa de Paz Nursing and Rehab Center.

Alvin was born July 10, 1921, in Fitzgerald, Ga., the son of Lucas and Easter (McClain) Goodman.
He is survived by three sons, Jason and his wife, Jacquie Rice of Sioux City, Alvin Goodman Jr. of Sioux City and Henry and his wife, Tasha Goodman of Walthill, Neb.; four daughters, Cassandra Armell and her husband, Troy Jr. of Sioux City, Camille Goodman-Godfrey and her husband, Harley of Sioux City, Fontaine Rice and her husband, Camilo Lopez of Winnebago, Neb., and Chelsea Goodman and her husband, Steve Rainey of Sioux City; their mother, Marsha Gaines-Goodman of Winnebago, Neb.; 34 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his best friends, Benny Wolfe and Joe McKee.
