Dolores Hageman, 82 of Dakota Dunes, SD passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2009 at a Sioux City Hospital. Funeral services for Dolores will be held on Monday, May 18, 2009 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Dakota Dunes, SD at 10:00 a.m. A funeral lunch will be provided following the service at the church and a graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday at Memorial Park Cemetery. There will be a visitation on Sunday May 17, 2009 from 4-8 p.m. with family present from 6-8 p.m. and a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Dolores was born on July 13, 1926 in Sioux City to Oscar and Fern (Manz) Wycoff. Dolores graduated from Liberty Consolidated School in Merrill. After graduation she attended nursing school. She was married to Everett Hageman on January 9, 1946 in Sioux City. To this union 5 children were born. Everett preceded her death on December 2, 1999. Dolores loved being with her family. She especially loved spending time and being involved with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was an avid reader and also loved gardening, watching birds, quilting, spending summers in Georgia with her daughter Kay and husband Tom where she enjoyed their flowers so much, and great granny will be fondly remembered for her soft tickling fingers. She is survived by her 5 children, daughters Terri Hageman of Dakota Dunes, SD; and Kay (Tom) Remar of Athens, GA; 3 sons, Bruce (Rhonda) Hageman of Hinton; Barry (Kay) Hageman of Sioux City; and Randy (Suzanne) Hageman of Bowling Green, VA; 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren with one on the way; Shari (Jerad) Dreeszen of Afton; Kris (Shannon) Stoeffler of Hinton, and their children Spencer and Pypr; Ross Hageman of Austin, TX; Rashell (Bobby) DeRocher of Sioux City and daughter Taylor; Jared (Kim) Hageman of Bowling Green, VA, and their children Jaden and Gabriel; Clint (Krista) Hageman of Bowling Green, VA and their son Chandler; Natalie (Jeremy) Donaldson of Bowling Green, VA and their children Ashton and Ty; and Lacey Hageman of Bowling Green, VA; 3 brothers, Marvin (Mildred) Wycoff of Moville; Ray (Marilyn) Wycoff of Manchester; and Maurice (Darlene) Wycoff of Overland Park, KS; and a step sister Linda (Mark) Brice of Rogers, AR; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and step parents, Charles Eves and Arlene Wycoff. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
