SIOUX CITY -- Dorothy Mae Hightower, 77, of Sioux City passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2010, at a Sioux City hospital.
Services will be 12:30 p.m. Thursday, March 18, 2010 at Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel, with the Rev. Matthew Miller officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Thursday at the funeral home.
Dorothy was born July 12, 1932, in Iowa City, Iowa, to Oris and Mildred (McNamar) McCutcheon. She was married to her soul mate, Hap Hightower, on Feb. 11, 2002. He preceded her in death on Jan. 29, 2006, in Sioux City.
She loved to garden and had a great love for animals.
She is survivors by her six children; 14 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hap; and a sister.
