Herman Klar

SIOUX CITY -- Herman Klar, 92, of Texarkana, Texas, formerly of Sioux City, died Monday, Nov. 9, 2009, in Texarkana.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday, November 13, 2009 in Memorial Park Cemetery, with the Rev. Janice Bennett of Riverside United Methodist Church officiating. Visitation will be 1 p.m. Friday at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel, 6200 Morningside Ave.

Mr. Klar was born May 21, 1917, in Albion, N.Y. He was retired from the Milwaukee Railroad.

He was a member of Riverside United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Veronica and Norman Newman of St. Charles, Mo.; a son and daughter-in-law, Leon and Sandra Klar of Hooks, Texas; two grandsons and two great-grandsons, Aaron Klar and his wife, Jennifer Klar and son, Kaiden of Texarkana, Texas, and Jeremy Klar and his wife, Amy Klar and son, Gavin of Texarkana.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Klar.
