Lucille Kobold, 85, of Sioux City died Saturday, Dec. 6, 2008, at a Sioux City nursing home.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel, with the Rev. Gerald Feierfeil of Nativity Catholic Church officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Lucille was born Aug. 25, 1923, in Sioux City, the daughter of John J. and Anna M. (Wildo) Stanek. She graduated from Sioux City East High School with the class of 1941.
She married Michael Kobold on May 10, 1948, at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Sioux City. He preceded her in death on Jan. 8, 1970, in Sioux City. She was employed at various companies in Sioux City and South Sioux City. She also was employed with Zenith, when the plant closed.
In her free time, she loved cooking and working in her vegetable garden. She attended Nativity Catholic Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Barb Flom of Sioux City; a son, Larry Kobold of Omaha; a grandson, Michael Kobold serving in the U.S. Navy stationed in the gulf; a brother and his wife, John and Dorothy Stanek of Sioux City; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Joseph Stanek; and a sister, Mary Bekish.
