Jonathon Michael Krommenhoek, 20, of Sioux City died Thursday, Jan. 29, 2009, in Sioux City from injuries suffered in an automobile accident.

Services will be 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 2, 2009 at Morningside Lutheran Church, with the Rev. David Denzer officiating. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a prayer service at 8 p.m., at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Jonathon was born May 22, 1988, in Corvallis, Ore., the son of Michael and Kathy (Weiner) Krommenhoek. He came to Sioux City as a child and graduated from East High School. He then attended Western Iowa Tech Community College. He worked at Perkins Restaurant for many years while going to school.

He loved his family. He enjoyed camping, fishing and the ocean.

Survivors include his father, Michael Krommenhoek and his wife, Dori, of Sioux City; his mother, Kathy Krommenhoek of South Sioux City; a brother, Joseph Caba and his wife, Teri, of Phoenix, Ariz.; a sister, Kristianne Krommenhoek-Lhotka and her husband, Craig Lhotka, of Apache Junction, Ariz.; his girlfriend, Stephanie Ferdig of Sioux City; paternal grandparents, Loren Krommenhoek and Sharon Krommenhoek of Sioux City; paternal great-grandmother, Ruth Kelly of Sioux City; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Karen Krommenhoek; maternal grandfather, Howard Weiner; and maternal grandmother, Judith Weiner.

Pallbearers will be Joshua Weiner, Corey Weiner, Shawn Weiner, Brandon Plum, Calrk Koppelmann and Justin Simeon.
