SIOUX CITY -- Wayne L. Lamoureux, 88, of Sioux City died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2011, at Holy Spirit Retirement Home following a brief illness.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 15, 2011 at Holy Spirit Retirement Home chapel, with the Rev. Dennis Meinen officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Saturday at the chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Wayne L. Lamoureux was born April 7, 1922, in Akron, Iowa, the son of Joseph "Nap" and Mary "Edna" (Dalgliesh) Lamoureux.
Wayne was of the Catholic faith.
Survivors include his brother and sisters, Marguerite Vondrak of Sioux City, Patrick Lamoureux and his wife, Mary Ann of Littleton, Colo., Janice Vondrak of Petaluma, Calif., Luene Petersen and her husband, Larry of Le Mars, Iowa, and Beverly Bytnar of Columbia, S.C.; a sister-in-law, Betty Lamoureux of Loveland, Colo.; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Dick Lamoureux and his wife, Betty, and Royal Lamoureux; and three brothers-in-law, Francis Vondrak, Floyd Vondrak and Frank Bytnar.
