Wayne W. Lawrenson

Wayne W. Lawrenson, 80, of Sioux City died Tuesday, June 6, 2006, at a area nursing home from complications with pneumonia.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Rustin Avenue United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Gordon Vickery officiating. Burial will be in Logan Park Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Friday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Mr. Lawrenson was born April 25, 1926, in Onawa, Iowa, the son of Ralph and Mildred (Mustard) Lawrenson. He worked for Goodwill Industries.

He had been a member of Rustin Avenue United Methodist Church since 1935. He enjoyed collecting stamps, fishing, working and visiting with friends.

Survivors include a brother and his wife, Donald and Virginia Lawrenson of Sioux City; a sister, Eileen Flannery of Sioux City; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Robert.
