Miles B. Martin

SIOUX CITY -- Miles B. Martin, 76, of Sioux City passed away Friday, March 11, 2011, following a brief illness.

Graveside services will be Monday in Freewater Cemetery at Wilcox, Neb. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel. Condolences may be sent online to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Miles was born Oct. 1, 1934, in Wilcox, Neb., to James and Elizabeth Martin. He attended Wilcox High School and Midland College. Miles was proud of his service in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a chaplain at the V.F.W. in Sioux City.

Survivors include three sons, Mike Martin and his wife, Sue, Doug Martin and his wife, Jan, and Jim Martin and his wife, Cathy; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Carol Killham and her husband, Alford.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John, Jim Cash and Raymond; sisters, Zetta, Susan and Naomi; and a grandson, Christopher.
