Janice (Burns) McInerney

January 28, 1937 — July 30, 2009

SIOUX CITY -- On July 30, 2009, Janice M. McInerney of Bartlesville, Okla., formerly of Sioux City, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, after fighting a courageous battle against breast cancer.

Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at the Church of the Nativity. There will be a rosary recited at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be the hour prior to services Wednesday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Janice Burns was born Jan. 28, 1937, in Sioux City, to John and Mattie Burns. She attended elementary and high school in Sioux City, where she met her husband of 53 years, William F. McInerney.

Janice was an active partner and integral part of the family business in a carer that spanned almost 30 years. Even though she enjoyed a successful career as a business partner, her proudest achievement was raising her four children and participating in the lives of her 10 grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, William F. McInerney; a son, William F. McInerney Jr. and his wife, Linda of New Lenox, Ill.; a son, Michael J. McInerney and his wife, Beth of Fairview, Texas; a daughter, Jennifer A. and her husband, Shane Baldwin of Aurora, Ohio; a daughter, Jill M. and her husband, Eric Rysner, DDS, of Highlands Ranch, Colo.; and her 10 beloved grandchildren, Janelle Wilson, Elizabeth McInerney, Erin McInerney, Blake Baldwin, Ashley McInerney, Will McInerney, Kyle Baldwin, Carter Rysner, Spencer Baldwin and Drake Rysner.
