Ruth Terry Newman

Ruth Terry Newman, 64, of Sioux City passed away unexpectedly Friday, March 21, 2008, at a Sioux City hospital.

Terry was born Feb. 1, 1944, in Sioux City, the daughter of Howard and Darlene (Bombaur) Coover. Terry enjoyed drawing and coloring, playing bingo and collecting bears.

Survivors include her son, Gary and wife, Tina Newman of Atlanta, Ga.; her daughter, Tracy Newman of Las Vegas, Nev.; two grandchildren, Derek and Megan Newman; an uncle and aunt, Harold and Helena Lawrence of Sioux City; a half-brother, Father Thomas Coover; a half-sister, Mary Ann; and various other relatives and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Edmund Stoney Coover.
