Betty A., (McKinley) Oleson

SIOUX CITY -- Betty A. (McKinley) Oleson, 56, of Sioux City passed away Sunday, June 14, 2009, at a local nursing home following a lengthy battle with cancer.

Private family celebration of life service will be Wednesday at Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel. Abiding by family wishes, cremation will follow.

Betty was born Oct. 24, 1952, in Sioux City, to Joseph E. and Dorothy E. (Kellogg) McKinley. She received her education in Sioux City schools.

She married William D. "Bill" Oleson on Sept. 8, 1996, in Sioux City.

She is survived by her husband, Bill; three daughters, Barbara McKinley-Castillo, Michelle McKinley and Bobbi Kleinberg, all of Sioux City; brothers and sisters, Earl and Rosemary McKinley, Dorothy McKinley, John and Ellen McKinley, Edna and Jon Wiltgen, Mary and Clint Boster, Linda and Terry Fleming and Maggie and George Naab; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother and his wife, Joseph and Marg McKinley; a niece, April McKinley; and a nephew, David McKinley.
