Dorothy J. Pemberton, 77 of Sioux City passed away on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at Casa De Paz. Per Dorothys wishes her body was cremated and there will be no memorial service, her family will celebrate her life privately. Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Dorothy was born on December 21, 1932 in Texas to Cecil and Gladys (Smith) Carlton. She graduated from high school in Duncanville, Texas. She was married to Raymond G. Larson and to this union four children were born, the marriage later ended and she was married to Robert Pemberton who preceded her in death. The biggest joy in Dorothys life was her family. She had a great love for her children. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles, gardening, and her pets.

She is survived by her three daughters Laura Hunter of Winterset, IA; Cynthia (Sammee) Schnee of Sioux City; and Brenda (Curt) Hemmingson of Granger, IA; two granddaughters Amanda (Scott) Capps and Mindie Schiefen and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert, son Raymond A. Larson, and a grandson Robbie Schnee.
