SIOUX CITY -- Max Rozen, 86, of Sioux City died Tuesday, June 16, 2009, at Indian Hills Nursing and Rehab Center.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, June 18, 2009 in Mount Carmel Cemetery, with Rabbi Guy Greene officiating. There will be no visitation. Condolences may be sent online to www.meyerbroschapels.com.
Max was born Nov. 18, 1922, in Sioux City, the Harry and Ethel (Jacobs) Rozen. He was a lifelong Sioux City resident. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, stationed overseas in Europe.
He married Rose L. Schindler on Sept. 4, 1955, in Sioux City. She died May 1, 2005, in Sioux City. He was self-employed. He owned and operated Life Soap and Chemical and Westside Radiator.
He was a member of Congregation Beth Shalom and Landmark Masonic Lodge 103 A.F. & A.M.
Survivors include a daughter, Marceen Rozen of Tempe, Ariz.; a brother, Izzy Rozen of Sioux City; and nieces and nephews, Mitch Rozen and his wife, Kara, Gayla Rozen, Marilyn Brown, Ivy Iverson and Susie Weaver.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Rose Iverson.
