Jacqueline E. White

Jacqueline E. "Jackie" White, 75, of Sioux City passed away peacefully Monday, March 17, 2008, at her residence.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, March 20, 2008 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Matthew Miller officiating. Burial will be in Logan Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent online to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Jacqueline was born Sept. 16, 1932, in Sioux City, the daughter of Jack and Florence (Jones) Poindexter. She was a lifetime Sioux City resident.

She married Fred G. White on April 2, 1949, in Luverne, Minn.

She enjoyed spending time with friends and family.

Survivors include her husband, Fred White of Sioux City; four sons, Dennis White and his wife, Colleen of Sioux City, Steve White of Sioux City, John White of Hawaii and Bob White of Sioux City; a daughter and her husband, Debbie and Rick Kobold of Jefferson, S.D.; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Joyce Gajewski; and a great-granddaughter, Bailey Hupke.

Pallbearers will be John White, Travis White, Matt Kobold, Danny Kobold, Justin White, Jeremy White and Luke White.

Honorary pallbearers will be Heather Hupke, Chloe Burke and Angel White.
