SIOUX CITY -- Patricia L. Motley, 84, of Sioux City passed away Friday, June 3, 2011, at a Sioux City hospital. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 13, 2011 at Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Patricia was born June 8, 1926, in Sioux City, the daughter of Earl and Bessie (Hunt) Martin. She graduated from East High School. Patricia married Eugene M. Motley on July 18, 1944, in South Sioux City. She was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting, reading and doing crossword puzzles. She was an animal lover. Patricia loved to spend time with family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of Whitfield United Methodist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher. She was a member of the PTA and a Brownie leader. Survivors include three daughters, Patricia (Robert) Harding of San Jose, Calif., Linda (William) Bliven of Sioux City, and Susan Motley of Sioux City; a brother, Earl Martin Jr. of Sioux City; a sister, Betty Ann Fox of Claremont, Calif.; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; an infant son, Eugene; and a sister.
