SOUTH SIOUX CITY -- Lisa Marie Fokken, 42, of South Sioux City died Monday, August 8, 2011, at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames, Iowa. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 11, 2011 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Sioux City, with the Revs. Russell Senstad and David Zirpel officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Park Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 5 to 8 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Condolences may be sent online to www.meyerbroschapels.com. Lisa was born March 13, 1969, in Storm Lake, Iowa, the daughter of Robert and Sally (Carpenter) Radke. Lisa was baptized on April 6, 1969, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Alta, Iowa. She was confirmed there on May 8, 1983. She graduated from Alta High School in 1987. Lisa married Joe Fokken on May 20, 1989, in Alta. Lisa held various positions in banking and then worked for WIC Program in Remsen, Iowa. She worked for several grocery stores including Hy-Vee Stores, Affiliated Foods Midwest and Ken SuperFair Foods. Lisa was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, music and singing. She enjoyed doing things for others. Survivors include her husband, Joe of South Sioux City; two daughters, Jessica Fokken of Stillwater, Okla., and Jamie Urban and her husband, Shawn of Callender, Iowa; her parents, Robert and Sally Radke of Boone, Iowa; three sisters, Robin Wolfe of Boone, her twin sister, Linda Huntington and her husband, Tyler of Perry, Iowa, and Mindy Phomvisay and her husband, Aiddy of Marshalltown, Iowa; her brother, Marty Radke and his wife, Trish of Grimes, Iowa; three grandchildren, Creighton, Malia, and Weslyn; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Marty Radke, Dave Fokken, Tyler Huntington, Aiddy Phomvisay, Shawn Urban and Pat McAlpine. Honorary pallbearers will be her nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
