David L. Hudson

David L. Hudson, 73, of Sioux City, passed away Sunday, November 4, 2012 at a local hospital. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel with Reverend Richard Peralez officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Online condolences can be directed to meyerbroschapels.com. David was born the son of Clifford and Ella (Engelcke) Hudson on Ocotober 30, 1939 in Miller, South Dakota. He graduated from Pomeroy High School. He lived in Storm Lake for several years before moving to Sioux City. David worked for Irving Jensen Construction, Allied North American, and Don Komes Mobile Home Service over the years. He enjoyed visiting with family and friends and going to coffee. He loved his dogs and being outdoors. David is survived by two sons, Brandon Hudson of Sioux City, and David Hudson of Hornick; one daughter, Brenda Hudson and special friend, Troy of Sioux Falls; one brother, Ken Hudson and special friend, Martha of Creston, Iowa; three sisters, Mardell Kempe of LeRoy, Minnesota, Marlys Jensen of Ruthven, Iowa, and Marilyn Hulquist of Muscatine, Iowa; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one infant son, Corey.
