Ida May Borschuk, 78, of Sioux City passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at a Sioux City Hospital. There will be a fellowship with the family on Sunday, November 18, 2012 from 4-6 p.m. followed by a time of sharing to celebrating her life at 6:00 p.m. at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 19, 2012 with Rev. Ralph Shorey officiating at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Burial of her cremains will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Ida was married to Phillip Borschuk on June 1, 1956 in Sioux City at Calvary Lutheran Church. She worked in sales for Martins and Younkers. She was also a dedicated mother and care giver. Ida enjoyed bowling, gardening, baking cookies, baby sitting and she always made sure to make time for her T.V. programs. Ida will be fondly remembered as a generous, giving and warm person who was happiest when taking care of others. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. She is survived by her husband Phillip Borschuk of Sioux City; 3 daughters Gina Swanson (significant other Jason Henjes) of McCook Lake, SD; Lisa (Curt) Johme of Sioux City; and Jill (Chad) Coyle of Sioux City; 8 grandchildren Ryan Lieske; Sydney Swanson; Shannon, Ashley Johme (significant other Eric Bishop); Amber Johme; Connor, McKenzie, and Jack Coyle; 2 great grandchildren Andre Thomas and Wyatt Bishop; a brother Dick McGinty, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, 9 siblings, Clarence Roepke, Ron Roepke, Art Roepke, Evelyn Warner, Mary Oostenberg, Jack McGinty, June McGinty, Bill McGinty, and Bev Waechter.
