Louis D. Jensen, 67 of Sioux City, passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2013 at his residence comforted by family. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 7, 2013 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel with Reverend Jennifer Flair officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be this evening, Wednesday, November 6th from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with family present at 6:00 p.m. and a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Louis was born on November 6, 1945 in Sioux City to Louis and Ruby (Schrock) Jensen, the youngest of ten children. He married Elizabeth "Liz" M. Bueoy on October 11, 1965 in Sioux City, and in the same week, started his career with Western States Manufacturing. Louis worked in the sales department at Western States, looking forward to 50 years of service, before his illness held him to 48 years. He was an avid Green Bay Packers Fan, and attended numerous games. Louis also enjoyed drag racing, stock-car racing, including owning his own stock-car and being his own mechanic, and attending Car Shows, where he enjoyed looking at all the old relics. He found his greatest joy in his family, including his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Louis is survived by his wife Liz of Sioux City; daughters Mary Jensen and Jody Jensen, both of Sioux City; grandchildren Aaron Jensen and Brittany Jensen, both of Sioux City; and great-grandchildren Sierra Jensen and Grace Jensen, both of Sioux City. Louis was preceded in death by his parents, 8 brothers, and one sister.
