John Huser, 84, of Sioux City, passed away Thursday, July 24, 2014 at a local care facility. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. John was born the son of John and Sena (Jacobson) Huser on July 23, 1930 in Sioux City, Iowa. He received his education in Sioux City and graduated from Sioux City East High School. John married Shirley Schreiber on October 24th, 1954 in Sioux City. John worked for McCracken-Concrete Pipe Company for many years where he retired as sales manager. John enjoyed fishing and golfing. He honorably served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean conflict. John is survived by four sons, David (Mara) Huser of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Dan (Geri) Huser of Altoona, Iowa, Tim (Linda) Huser of Eugene, Oregon, and Steve (Diane) Huser of Kona, Hawaii; one daughter, Laura (Jim) Gerrish of Dighton, Massachusetts; two brothers, Al Huser of Sioux City and Art (Kay) Huser of Sioux City; one daughter-in-law, Deb Huser of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Shirley; son, Randy; and brother Don.
