Lorraine Dean, 77 of Sioux City passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2014 in Sioux City. Services will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Rev. Dr. Floyd E. Brown will officiate. Burial will be in Logan Park Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Lorraine was born September 5, 1936 in Hughes, AK; she was the daughter of Johnson and Daisy (Baylor) Dean. Lorraine came to Sioux City in the late 1950's and has lived here since. Survivors include her children: Willie Dean (Carol), James Dean, William Dean (Rochelle) and Steffen Dean (Kim Smith) all of Sioux City; 1 brother: William Dean of Toledo, OH, 11 grandchildren: Willie Dean Jr, Jaamal Dean, Dominque Dean, SirBastone Dean, LaShawna Moyle, William Freemont (Amber), Sarah Dean, Elijah Dean, Jeremiah Dean, Megan Dean and Micha Dean; a host of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, 5 brothers, a sister and a grandson Mathew Dean. Pallbearers will be William Freemont, Jason Smith, Lavon Dean Sr, LeRoy Dean Sr, Leon Dean Sr, Chris Williams, William Dean and Deion Freemont. Memorials may be directed to Meyer Brothers for the purchase of a cemetery marker.
