Julie Ann (Olson) Strom, 64, of Sioux City passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at her residence. Jesus has called her home for a new body after a lengthy illness. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, August 8, 2014 at Cornerstone World Outreach with Pastor Chace Gordon officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson Berger Northside Chapel. Julie was born July 29, 1950 in Sioux City, the daughter of Harold M. Olson and Gwendolyn E. Langley Olson Walker. She graduated from Riverside High School in 1970. She married Earl Eugene Strom on March 19, 1972. Julie was a devoted member of Cornerstone World Outreach for over 30 years where she also dedicated her time to the youth bus ministry for over 20 years. Her employment included IBP and MCI. She also drove the school bus in the Sioux City and South Sioux City School District. She enjoyed her time with family and friends. Julie is survived and loved by her husband Earl and her two sons, Jason and Brent Strom and grandsons Lucas, Kyle, and Anthony Strom and is expecting her first great grandchild. Her siblings are Sherwood "Butch" Olson and wife Joyce of Texas, Stella Dekins of Kansas, Harold "Hobo" Olson and wife Arlene of South Sioux City, Shirley Olson of Sioux City, Edward Olson and wife Pam of Sioux City, Mary Mather of Plattsmouth, NE, Debra Walker of Sioux Falls, SD, Gorgette Egglestone of Hastings, NE, Chris Walker and wife Edith of Sioux City, Clyde Walker and wife Christine of Sioux City, and Gerald "Jerry" Walker and wife Ann of Sioux City; numerous nieces and nephews; and many great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
