Patsy J. Hempey, 78, of Sioux City passed away on Tuesday, November 04, 2014 at Countryside Senior Living. There will be a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel with Rev. Tom Murray officiating. Burial of her cremains will be at a later date. She graduated from East High School in 1954. She was united in marriage to Guy Hempey on October 19, 1957 Sioux City. She worked various jobs including Younkers, Iowa Employment Agency, Lunch Server at Whitier School, and was most recently an artist taking pride in her dough art creations. She loved to golf, play softball in her younger years, and had an infinity of love for dogs. She is survived by her husband Guy Hempey; daughter Jo Dee (Michael) Weltz; Jason (Christi) Hempey; 5 grandchildren Michael Weltz, Jr.; Joshua Weltz; Ali Weltz Braden Hempey; and Brylee Hempey all of Sioux City; sisters Pam (Michael) Gregory of Illinois; and Starr Garoutte of Wyoming. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Robert Kenderdine and sister Marge Foster.
