Karen R. Witzka

Karen R. Witzka, 72, of Sioux City passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at her residence after a lengthy illness. Abiding by Karen's wishes, she will be cremated and there are no services scheduled. Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel. Karen was born July 13, 1942 in Fort Wayne, IN; she was the daughter of George and Bernice (Shonrock) Lund. Karen married the love of her life, James R. Witzka January 4, 1978 in Sioux City. Karen worked for the March of Dimes Office in Omaha and then worked for Aalfs Manufacturing in Sioux City for about 10 years. Survivors include her husband James of Sioux City, her sons and daughters: Arthur Bennett and his wife Lana of South Sioux City, NE, Kathy White, Bernice Nava, Bryan Witzka and Stacey Witzka all of Sioux City; her sister: Kathy Garcia and her husband Phil of Tone, NM; 20 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Karen was preceded in death by her parents and a son Dale White.
