Goldie E. Carlson

Goldie E. Carlson, 94 of Sioux City, passed away on Monday, January 5, 2015 at a local hospital. A Memorial Service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel with Reverend Tess Panamarow officiating. A private graveside ceremony has taken place at Logan Park Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Memorials may be offered to Immanuel Lutheran Church or to the donor's choice. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.meyerbroschapels.com Goldie was born on August 11, 1920 in Sloan, Iowa to August and Ellen (Anderson) Gustafson. She received her education in Sioux City, graduating with the Class of 1938 from Central High School. Goldie married Carl A. Carlson on March 7, 1942 in Papillion, Nebraska. She was a proud member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sioux City. Goldie is survived by her daughter LeAnne E. Nordquist and her husband Robert of Lincoln, Nebraska; brother Norman Gustafson; and many nieces and nephews. Goldie was preceded in death by her parents, husband Carl in 2001, and brothers Alford and Harold.
